Rev. Father John O’Brien originally compounded this medicine in 1855. It is formulated from cod liver oil, which is an excellent source of vitamins A and D and Omega 3 oils. Father John’s Medicine is recommended for coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritation from colds or inhaled irritants. It contains no alcohol or harsh chemicals.

Directions:
Take as needed.

Ingredients:
Active Ingredients: Dextromethorphan HBr, 10 mg per teaspoon.
Inactive Ingredients: Cod Liver Oil, flavors, Glycerine, Gum Arabic, Licorice, sugar water.

Warnings:
DO NOT USE if you are now taking prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, emphysema or a cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus). If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Father's John's, a wholesome family medicine, was originally compounded for Rev.
